Alycia Juvik, Director of Native Initiatives

Alycia Juvik is an expert in native credit union funding and program development. As Director of Native Initiatives, she leads CU Strategic Planning’s Native Division from her office in San Diego, CA.

Juvik came to CU Strategic Planning from her position as Community Development Director for Hawai‘i First Federal Credit Union. Hawai’i First FCU is a pioneer for credit unions serving native populations. Juvik has been instrumental in creating and implementing programs focused on economic empowerment and long-term behavioral change. She works with credit union teams to leverage high-demand tools and resources, including Individual Development Accounts, VITA, match accounts in K-12 classrooms, credit union financial counseling and coaching, and development service centers.

Alycia’s asset-building initiatives, implemented in both native and financially underserved communities, have been recognized as best practices by the US Department of Treasury, OWEESTA First Nations, Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Department of Hawaiian Homelands, and have been awarded The Dora Maxwell Award for Social Responsibility.
